ANALISIS KUALITAS WEBSITE PEMERINTAH DAERAH KABUPATEN/KOTA DI PROVINSI SUMATERA BARAT

Abstract

This research aims to find out how the quality of the Local Government website in applying the principles of good governance (transparency, accountability, effectiveness, and efficiency) as well as an assessment of the features contained in the website. The research approach used is interpretive-descriptive. Data is analyzed by using scoring analysis techniques. The results showed: (1) the quality of the website in accordance with the principles of good governance in cities in West Sumatra is still low in West Sumatra and (2) The low quality of the website causes the unability of users (government, companies, investors and the public) in utilizing the Local Government website in West Sumatra. It suggests: (1) to conduct periodic evaluations in developing websites from the central government, (2) to assign special staffs with an educational background in information technology to maximize the function of the website, (3) to socialize the use of local government websites to the public, and (4) for further researches, to conduct a depth interviews to related parties in order to get right descriptions about the problems facing by local government and to give the best solutions.
